The co-creation of public value within the preparatory classes for CPGE in Morocco: an ecosystem to capitalize on

This new management approach is based on several fundamental principles that essentially aim to capitalize on the public value created within public organizations. In contrast, the old management approach considered for a long time that the creation of public value was linear and depended on few actors. Under NMP, however, this process is seen as part of an ecosystem characterized by the co-creation of public value by and for different stakeholders. As one of the most important public organizations in Morocco, public education institutions are at the center of several actors' concerns, as they represent a locomotive for development and a vector for large-scale value creation. This article focuses on the co-creation of public value within the CPGE in Morocco. We try to shed light on a rather delicate but very important stakeholder who also happens to be the cornerstone of this ecosystem, namely the students. Thanks to the data collected via the questionnaire survey administered to these students, it was possible to conduct an exploratory study of our latent variable, namely, the creation of public value. In the end, the results of the descriptive statistics analysis as well as the principal component analysis revealed a rich and mixed picture. Students are certainly a driving stakeholder in the creation of public value within CPGE. However, given the challenges and weaknesses outlined in this article, this remains a major area for structural redesign in order to elevate and capitalize on public value creation.
