The theoretical approach of the performance measurement of women's entrepreneurship
Keywords:
Performance measurement, Perception of entrepreneurial success, Women’s entrepreneurial performanceAbstract
Performance is a polysemous concept. As a result, its perception is not unanimous in the academic or professional world, as it varies according to the context. It is in this perspective that this article aims to highlight the criteria likely to show the perception that women entrepreneurs have of performance in the Moroccan context.
The notion of entrepreneurial performance represents the field of study of women's performance in business in consideration of their differences from men, but also of the differences existing within this heterogeneous group. That is to say that the study of the phenomenon of women in business implies on the one hand, often implicitly (or explicitly), a systematic comparison with the situation of men (Cranny-Francis et al. 2003).
Thus, in this work, we will first present the diversity of possible views on the notion of women's entrepreneurial performance, then its different dimensions, and finally we will detail the notion of the performance of businesses owned by women entrepreneurs.
