Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurial Performance of Income-Generating Activities by Women in the DRC

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of financial inclusion on the entrepreneurial performance of income-generating activities run by women in the DRC. To achieve this study and reach a subsequent result, we used a positivist epistemological approach with a quantitative methodological approach. Using a survey questionnaire as our data collection tool, we conducted surveys with 223 women entrepreneurs who own income-generating activities in the DRC. Given the probability of 0.00 < at the 5% threshold, which shows overall significance, and also R² of 92.87%, which is very high and demonstrates a good fit quality. The data collected was analyzed using statistical methods with a multiple regression econometric model using Stata17 software. The findings of this research clearly confirm that financial inclusion has a positive effect on the entrepreneurial performance of income-generating activities for women in the DR Congo. Its contribution would also significantly call on women entrepreneurs in the Democratic Republic of Congo on one hand, and microcredit institutions on the other, to actively promote women's financial inclusion to boost the entrepreneurial performance of income-generating activities in the DR Congo.
