Abstract

This article aims to study the influence of CSR communication on the commercial performance of companies in Cameroon. To achieve this objective, we collected data by questionnaire from 71 companies operating in several industries, with the legal form of a public limited company (SA). These data were then analyzed using the ordinary least squares method. Two major findings emerge from the results. Firstly, the results of this study reveal that the commercial performance of the companies in the sample declines when they choose advertorials as a means of communication. Secondly, this performance increases when companies use philanthropic discourse and have a good level of CSR commitment in the areas of human rights and human resources management.
