The acceptance of AI-enabled ERP systems: bibliometric analysis of a strategic technological evolution
Keywords:
ERP, Artificial Intelligence, AI-ERP, Acceptance, Bibliometric AnalysisAbstract
ERP systems enhanced by artificial intelligence are attracting growing interest within the scientific community and professional circles. These solutions positioned at the crossroads of technological advances and organizational transformation imperatives, raise profound questions about the conditions for their acceptance and adoption. Faced with this complexity, scientific research has gradually taken up the subject, but in a still fragmented manner. This study offers an in-depth bibliometric analysis of literature devoted to this topic, based on a corpus of 171 publications indexed in the Scopus database over the period 2000-2024. Using visual analysis and scientific mapping tools, the study identifies the main publication trends, the most influential authors and institutions, the most widely used academic journals, and the keywords that structure the field. The results reveal a rapidly expanding dynamic, driven by geographical and disciplinary diversification of research. Dense semantic clusters, combining technological, managerial, and human issues, reflect the complexity of the conditions for acceptance of AI-assisted ERP. Finally, the study highlights certain methodological gaps and suggests avenues for more integrative future research.
