Abstract

This article examines the dynamic relationship between financial decentralization and economic growth at the national level over the period 2011–2022. Using a Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, the analysis focuses on temporal interactions, shock responses through impulse response functions, and variance decomposition in order to identify both the magnitude and timing of the effects. This approach makes it possible to distinguish between short-run and medium-run impacts while accounting for potential feedback effects between economic growth and fiscal variables. The objective is to provide a robust macroeconomic assessment of the effects of financial decentralization on aggregate economic performance.
