Abstract

This article provides a theoretical analysis of how Blockchain technology can enhance innovation ecosystems 4.0. In these modern ecosystems, the complexity of interactions is intensified by the diversity and interdependence of actors, including companies, public institutions, researchers, and citizens. These collaborative networks require robust methods to ensure transparency, shared governance, and fair distribution of benefits, especially in the face of accelerated innovation cycles.

Blockchain offers groundbreaking functionalities to address these challenges: it ensures immutable and secure traceability of contributions, thereby enhancing intellectual property protection through a decentralized and transparent ledger. By automating collaborative processes with smart contracts, blockchain reduces coordination costs and guarantees reliable execution of agreements. Finally, it enables decentralized governance, granting each participant equal and transparent involvement in decision-making. These features position blockchain as a promising pillar for more inclusive, efficient, and resilient innovation ecosystems 4.0.
