In the current context of globalization and digital transformation, businesses need to excel not only in terms of financial performance but also engage in a social approach. Quality of work life (QWL) then becomes paramount. Indeed, this latter, which encompasses employee well-being, work-life balance, and relationships within the company, is a key driver of engagement, satisfaction, and consequently, performance.
The impact of QWL also extends to the domain of social innovation. The latter aims to offer innovative solutions to societal challenges by integrating social initiatives into productive processes. By improving working conditions and stimulating employee creativity, QWL contributes to business competitiveness and social responsibility.
This study focuses on the relationship between QWL and social innovation. It explores how better QWL can foster competitiveness while stimulating social innovation. The objective is to analyze the impact of QWL practices, such as flexible hours, the promotion of mental health, and the encouragement of collaborative innovation, on economic performance and social responsibility.
To this end, a quantitative approach will be deployed. A survey of businesses in the Souss-Massa region will be conducted to collect data on QWL practices implemented and their impact. The collected data will be analyzed using statistical techniques and content analysis.
The expected results of this research should highlight the positive influence of QWL on business competitiveness by increasing employee engagement, creativity, and reducing costs related to absenteeism and turnover. Moreover, it is expected that businesses investing in QWL will more easily adopt social innovation practices, aligning themselves with the needs of their stakeholders and contributing to sustainable development.
In conclusion, businesses promoting high QWL do not merely maximize their economic competitiveness but play a crucial role in social innovation, thereby meeting society's expectations in terms of social and environmental impact.
