Abstract

This research develops a conceptual framework for understanding the influence of self-efficacy beliefs on continuing professional training in the Moroccan banking sector. Based on an integrative literature review, the study identifies four dimensions of self-efficacy (learning, transfer, technical, relational) and analyzes their interactions with training process phases and Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels. The model proposes a dynamic temporal perspective (pre-training, training, post-training) and incorporates contextual factors specific to the Moroccan banking sector: organizational (hierarchical structures), cultural (high power distance), sectoral (digital transformation), and regulatory (compliance requirements). The analysis reveals significant interactions between sources of self-efficacy (mastery experiences, vicarious learning, verbal persuasion, physiological states) and training evaluation levels. Practical implications include prior assessment of self-efficacy, differentiated activation of self-efficacy sources, progressive structuring of technical learning, and structured post-training support. This conceptualization contributes to understanding the mechanisms through which self-efficacy influences learning transfer in this specific context, while providing concrete recommendations to optimize the effectiveness of training programs.
