Proposal of a framework for the management of key success factors in organizational innovation projects in SMEs
Case of ERP

ERP systems can help businesses manage their resources efficiently. Like many new technologies, these solutions have been accompanied by publisher hype and implementation failures.
A comprehensive understanding of implementing an innovative solution, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is still lacking. In particular, a compilation of key success factors (FCS) and obstacles requires an analysis of the different configurations of management processes.
Work on key success factors should encourage more appropriate implementation and operating practices. However, many studies of ERP projects have revealed criteria for success, but provide little guidance on evaluating implementation steps.
The framework explored in this article is an attempt to systematically generate a comprehensive list of factors affecting the completion of an ERP project. As such, it can support the theoretical development of functional capabilities related to ERP, as a tool covering the organizational dimension of the company.
It builds on existing work in IS innovation, and simulation ideas to better understand the relationships between FCSs and to encourage exploration of more appropriate implementation strategies.
