The social responsibility of health organizations: A thoughtful public management tool

Abstract

Contemporary organizations have rethought their strategies by focusing on the implementation of the organizations' social responsibility approaches. These approaches contribute to the resolution of environmental, social and economic problems and with the sustainable development, which has become unavoidable. The hospital finds itself subject to the requirements of the governance-stakeholders-demand for care triad. It must, from now on, reconsider the management of its activities through the integration of éco-construction, the management of waste, energy the saving, the durable purchase, the respect of the standards social, humane, of quality and the environment. Thus, its governance and brand image will improve.
