Abstract

The primary goal of this paper is to conduct an extensive systematic literature review on the disparities in regional and territorial investments in Morocco, revealing a mixed outcome characterized by an unequal distribution of resources across various regions. It also sheds light on the challenges associated with the lack of coordination and evaluation of development projects. Additionally, the paper scrutinizes government interventions, such as the Emerging Rural Centers Development Program, designed to mitigate the disparities between urban and rural areas. These initiatives underscore the commitment to fostering more equitable and sustainable regional development. Furthermore, a systematic review was undertaken to assess the novelty of the subject within the Moroccan context.
