Knowledge management and organizational performance: Abdelmalek Essaadi university cases
The huge quantity of information in our daily life and the continuous work to organize and use it in the best possible way has led to the emergence of knowledge management. On the other hand, the term "performance" has caused a lot of ink to flow.. This is a vocabulary widely used in the field of management. The quest for performance was the ultimate goal of all organizations.
In addition, it has long been demonstrated that better knowledge management has a positive impact on organizational performance. However, it is not yet clear how this process is to be achieved in academia and particularly in developing countries such as Morocco. The main objective of this article is to address this issue by collecting the views of the Abdelmalek Essaadi University teacher-researchers, through a hypothetico-deductive reasoning approach and a quantitative working method. Our questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of 88 teacher-researchers from the different institutions of the university under study. The results obtained show a strong correlation between knowledge management and organizational performance and a low degree of application of the knowledge management process (creation-storage-sharing-application) at the university in question.
