Abstract

The aim of this paper is to address and analyse the importance of leadership in the satisfaction and involvement of virtual teams, as well as the issues and challenges encountered in remote working. In this article, we will attempt to study and examine the subject from a different angle by putting forward a combination of theoretical literature and empirical study. To this end, we present a case study conducted in a Moroccan company specialising in mobile development. This case study gives us a better understanding of the challenges and issues associated with remote leadership in a real context. The results of the study show thateffective management of remote leadership has a positive impact on the efficiency, perseverance, commitment and satisfaction of staff, and that communication, trust and control are key factors in effective remote leadership management.
