The impact of a global CSR approach on employee attitudes and behavior: the case of the Sitel group
Abstract
This article explores the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on employees' attitudes and behaviors within contemporary organizations. Corporate Social Responsibility goes beyond regulatory compliance, voluntarily integrating social, environmental, and ethical concerns into business practices. This research analyzes how employees' perceptions of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives influence their job satisfaction, motivation, and loyalty to the company. The methodology combines a literature review with an empirical study, conducted through surveys and interviews with employees from various sectors. The results reveal that employees positively perceive CSR initiatives when viewed as authentic and transparent, enhancing their trust and improving organizational well-being. Conversely, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives perceived as hypocritical can lead to distrust and disengagement. The study's limitations lie mainly in the diversity of sectors analyzed and the generalization of the findings. Practical implications suggest that companies should ensure clear and authentic communication about their CSR actions to maximize their positive impact. Finally, the originality of this research lies in the in-depth exploration of the links between Corporate Social Responsibility and employee well-being, offering new perspectives on human resource management in a socially responsible context
