Exploratory qualitative study on the impact of quality cost management on the financial performance of companies in the Moroccan automotive industry
Abstract
As approaches to optimizing, rationalizing, designing and managing cost management systems continue to evolve, managing the costs of achieving quality has become a central issue. It has become imperative to clarify conceptually what exactly is meant by the costs of achieving quality, and what is meant by the notion of financial performance. The aim of this document is therefore to contribute to the development of a conceptual model. This model is intended to be as generic as possible, encompassing the various dimensions associated with the costs of achieving quality and financial performance. It is mainly based on concepts and ideas drawn from existing approaches, previously analyzed in a review of the empirical literature (state of the art). To this end, this document aims to establish a basis for understanding and managing the costs of achieving quality, and for assessing their impact on financial performance. It is based on a synthesis of existing knowledge and seeks to create a generic conceptual model on the basis of previous studies from the literature and the results of the exploratory qualitative study of our research work.
