Does entrepreneurship represent an alternative to precarious employment among young people in Morocco?
Abstract
After the structural changes that Morocco has experienced (economic, social, and institutional) to promote the insertion of its youth in a decent professional life, the precarious employment opportunities continue to exacerbate. The State has developed a set of programs and incentives through its various institutions, in the hope that an ideal national experience in the field of entrepreneurship will be prepared for the benefit of this part of the population. Within the framework of the promotion of youth entrepreneurship, the decision makers have set up support mechanisms following the royal speeches held since 2005; such as the program "FORSA" which remains one of the last initiatives launched by the State in favor of project holders. The situation of youth entrepreneurship and young micro-entrepreneurs; the question of networks and financing; classical entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship; etc. are all facets of the same reality that should be known in order to ask the right questions.
The objective of this article is to explain to young entrepreneurs the particularities of the entrepreneurial world in order to facilitate their integration into the job market and into society while avoiding precarious work. Does entrepreneurship bring added value to young Moroccans? Does it allow offering a better alternative to all forms of precarious employment suffered by this category? It is important to underline that the desire or the creation of new enterprises by young people plays a fundamental role in their economic and social insertion and in the sustainable development of the country. In this perspective, encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs will allow them to express their potential (creative and managerial) and to accumulate successful experiences in the entrepreneurial world. This ambition of the Moroccan youth remains a legitimate ambition to fight against precarious employment, social exclusion and monetary poverty.
