Abstract

The accounting standards for agriculture play a crucial role in the financial sector, providing essential regulatory frameworks for the accounting of biological assets. This article delves into the Moroccan context, comparatively examining international accounting standards for biological assets with those currently in force in Morocco. The rapid evolution of the agricultural sector in Morocco, including the diversification of crops and livestock, emphasizes the need for adequate harmonization with international standards. Through this analysis, we seek to assess the similarities and differences between international and Moroccan accounting standards, while exploring potential implications for the accounting management of biological assets in the country. This work aims to provide essential insights for accounting practitioners, decision-makers, and researchers interested in agricultural accounting in the Moroccan context.
