Perception of the performance of Entrepreneurial Support Structures in Morocco: The perspective of Ecosystem actors
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to gain a better understanding of the perceptions of various stakeholders in entrepreneurial support regarding what constitutes an effective support structure. Employing a Grounded Theory approach, we chose to interview 18 actors from the realm of support and entrepreneurship using a semi-structured interview guide to highlight their primary perceptions concerning the assessment of the performance of support structures, notably incubators in Morocco.
The findings reveal that both the entrepreneur's performance and the success of the incubated project remain the most crucial components for comprehending the performance of the incubation framework. However, the entrepreneurial environment and the business ecosystem in Morocco have also emerged as significant factors. Furthermore, the research established a causal relationship among the identified performance dimensions, underscoring that the effectiveness of the support and the entrepreneur's learning play pivotal roles, serving as the most influential links.
