Valuation of human capital and well-being at work: What are the challenges of performance management?
Abstract
The human resource’s function is undergoing significant transformations due to the complexity and rapid pace of economic and organizational changes. As a result, workplace well-being has evolved into one of the major strategic challenges, garnering increasing attention from business leaders. In recent years, workplace well-being has been taking on a growing role within the responsibilities of human resources professionals and in the field of management research (Peretti, 2015). In this study, we highlight the significance of our current research and provide a synthesis of various theoretical contributions related to the concept of workplace well-being. Subsequently, we present the main findings stemming from a contextualized literature review aimed at exploring this concept within the Moroccan context.Haut du formulaire The aim of this paper is to show how well-being at work contributes to corporate performance. The present work constitutes a conceptual literature review aimed at identifying various theoretical contributions. Our results show that it is important to take a long-term view when implementing a corporate well-being policy. Thus, organizations need to put in place financial, material and organizational resources to improve employees' daily lives and create synergy between them. We have also noted that management is the cornerstone of this approach, and each player must be able to act and be proactive at his or her own level. As we have stated, a successful approach to "wellness" in the workplace will help build resilience, commitment and a sense of belonging among employees.
