Abstract

Agricultural finance is a crucial issue for the development of agriculture and poverty reduction in developing countries. This research analyzes the influence of access to credit or financing on rice yields in Malanville. Data were collected using questionnaires administered to 180 randomly selected rice farmers. Data analysis was done using simple linear regression under the Stata software. The results showed that access to credit has a significant and positive effect on the productivity and profitability of agricultural operations. Similarly, the production system and soil fertility also have a significant impact on agricultural productivity. However, agricultural financing remains a major challenge in developing countries, particularly due to the low capacity of financial institutions to provide agricultural loans. Efforts are therefore needed to improve access to agricultural financing and promote sustainable agricultural development.
