The crowdfunding, a new way of financing for Moroccan SMES
Abstract
In a context closely linked to the digital revolution, the weakening of traditional forms of financing and the drop in financing after the 2008 crisis, crowdfunding presents itself as an urgent means of financing SMEs. This type of funding refers to all the digital tools that allow a "crowd" of Internet users to help projects seeking funding.
Therefore, this article will first explain the concept of crowdfunding, how it works and its different types. Second, we examine the current state of crowdfunding and its development in Morocco. Finally, we show how crowdfunding can be used to promote entrepreneurship in Morocco and discuss the barriers that prevent Moroccan entrepreneurs from using this technology.
