The role of NGO’s in rural’s land development: Case of the MBARKYENE village in the municipality of HAD Lbrachoua
Abstract
The hope of development in the world has been Focused some time ago on the social and solidarity economy. Development should follow a new approach, it is more interesting to focus on the human factor by giving people the opportunity to create development models that meet the needs of their community. Strengthening the relationship of communities with their territories is essential today to fight against the problems of economic, social and local development. The aim of this article is to reveal the capacity of a community to develop its territory, and to underline the importance and the interest of the decision-making bottom up in the local development, by putting the associative actors in the center of this process. The Mbarkyenne Village has succeeded in this challenge by sensitizing individuals on the importance of investing their time and energy in their territory. Using new practices, which promote the training of individuals, particularly in permaculture, ecotourism, communication and project management, to develop self-sufficiency, and fight against precariousness, exodus and isolation.
