Entrepreneurial Support in Morocco: A Theoretical Review of Its History
Abstract
This article present a theoretical review of the evolution of entrepreneurial support in Morocco, focusing on the central question: how has this practice, primarily targeting young Moroccan entrepreneurs, developed from 1972 to the present day? We employ a narrative literature review to conduct this research, thoroughly analyzing historical documents related to the topic. We begin by defining the concept of entrepreneurial support and examining its semantics to fully understand its scope. Next, we trace the emergence and development of this practice in a global context before focusing specifically on the Moroccan context. This approach allows us to evaluate the developmental stages of this phenomenon in Morocco. The results reveal a steady and diverse progression of funding and support programs, as well as previous experiences at the national level. The theoretical conclusions highlight the importance of support initiatives for entrepreneurial development in Morocco. However, certain theoretical limitations persist, primarily due to the lack of comprehensive documentary resources and empirical data. Despite these limitations, this study provides a comprehensive perspective on the various phases of the emergence and development of entrepreneurial support in Morocco, thereby contributing valuable insights to the understanding of this phenomenon.
